Note of Condolence
FSS expresses its sadness over the passing away of a senior scholar and long-time member, Dr. Wanna Leka.
Dr. Wanna Leka was born on February 28 1950 GC. He passed away on 23 January, 2022 at the age of 72, and was buried on the next day in St. Joseph Church in Addis Ababa.
Dr. Wanna was an Associate Professor and he lectured at the Institute of Educational Research, Addis Ababa University. He obtained his PhD in the U.S.A. During 1992 – 1994 he worked as General Manager for the Educational Materials Production and Distribution Agency (EMPDA). He has also served as a consultant for the African Union Education Section and UNESCO/IICBA.
Dr. Wanna has authored and co-authored a number of evaluation reports arising from his consultative work.
Dr. Wanna Leka was a member and family of FSS since 2006 and served as a board member from March 2017- March 2020. He also contributed the following works that were published by FSS.
