FSS Publishes New Research on Youth and Women’s Employment in Ethiopia’s Textile and Garment Sector
The Forum for Social Studies (FSS) has published new research titled “Productive Employment and Decent Work for Youth and Women in Textile and Garment Manufacturing Sector in Ethiopia.” The study examines employment trends in Ethiopia’s textile and garment manufacturing sector, with a focus on youth and adult women. Drawing on three rounds of the Ethiopian Urban Employment Unemployment Survey (EUEUS), the research provides evidence on the opportunities and challenges facing youth and women in the sector, contributing to discussions on promoting productive employment and decent work in Ethiopia.
The research was produced with support from the INCLUDE Knowledge Platform, hosted by the African Studies Centre Leiden, under the African Policy Dialogues (APD) initiative, in partnership with FSS.
