FSS and WIDE launch new media project to disseminate WIDE’s research findings

ADDIS ABABA- Thursday, March 7, 2019- Forum for Social Studies (FSS) and Ethiopia WIDE are pleased to announce that, with financial assistance from Irish Aid, have just launched a media and communication project to disseminate findings of WIDE (Well-being Ill-being Dynamics) research conducted in 20 rural communities in Ethiopia over a 20-25 years period.The project aims to make these research outputs available to the public through selected local media (Electronic: Radio and TV and Print: Newspaper).

Thus, the research findings dealing with successes, constraints and challenges on rural economies, inequalities, women economic participation, youth, migration, land, urbanization, and a host of cross cutting issues will be disseminated to public through 13 weekly radio programs of 20 minutes length on EBC; six full-page newspaper articles which will appear fortnightly on the Reporter Amharic weekly and four 10- minutes TV programs on Walta TV fortnightly beginning this Friday, March 8, 2019.
